Marching Band Operations
Everything within the Marching Season and Parades. This includes Pit Crew, Uniforms, Traffic, Chaperones, Bleacher Helpers, Props, etc.
Concerts and Auxiliary
Provides support to all aspects of the Mira Costa Bands Program except those associated only with Marching Season or Parades. Includes Concert Support, Concert Dress, CD Recording/Sales, Year End Banquet, Colorguard/Winterguard, and Percussion Studio.
Fundraising
Raises funds for all aspects of the various bands--from annual parent contributions to car washes, home town fair booths, and corporate donations. Keeps the revenue side of the band activites strong.
Publicity/Communication
Creates publicity, graphics, and programs for band and concert events. Interfaces with local newspapers for publicity.
Finance
Creates annual budget and periodic forecasts. Does accounting and records all monthly income and expenses. Provides financial reporting at meetings. Makes deposits and writes checks. Tracks donations and contributions, and coordinates Thank-you/Tax contribution letters. Files Tax forms and returns, working with Tax Preparer. Checks PO Box and mailbox in Band Director's office. Is banking representative.
Secretary
Attends meetings and creates accurate minutes. Posts minutes to web site.
Instrumental Music Teacher - Bands
Heads the current programs and envisions new artistic endeavors for the concert ensembles, marching, and chamber ensembles
President
Seeks to encourage the parents and officers of Band Boosters for the betterment of our exciting 2008-2009 program. Chief cheerleader.
