 Festival Concert (posted 03/06/10)
The Mira Costa High School Bands proudly present: "The Festival Concert" with music from our SCSBOA Festival Competitions, featuring the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:00PM. Tickets are $5 at the box office, students with ID and children are free.

FESTIVAL CONCERT (posted 03/06/10)
Band Families, please be so kind as to remember to bring either a beverage (water bottles, juice boxes) or snack (cookies, brownies, crackers) to share after the concert on Wednesday, March 10th. Please have your students drop them off in the auditorium lobby when they come to school at call time for the concert.

Wind Ensemble Invited to Carnegie Hall (posted 03/04/10)
WIND ENSEMBLE INVITED TO CARNEGIE HALL IN 2011
Yes, it’s true! The wind ensemble, the vocal ensemble, and the orchestra have all been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2011. Thanks to the efforts of the entire music department—specifically Joel Carlson, Mike Hayden (chairman) and Peter Parks—the MCHS music department has pulled off this coup! This invitation will be the first time that a single high school will provide performers for an entire concert! Stay tuned for how we will finance this trip—at least we have a year to work it out!

This packet provides information for the bands, colorguard and winter guard for the 2009-2010 seasons. It can be instructive for 8th grade parents. A new packet will be distributed in June 2010 for the 2010-2011 seasons.
